God uniquely handcrafts each of us with talents to do certain things. Ministry is a commitment to discovering and using your gifts and abilities in serving God and others. Figure out what you enjoy doing--that which God gave you a passion for--and then employ it for his glory!
Small Groups
Gather, grow, and get-to-know sums up the purpose of our small groups. A variety of church and home meetings provide interaction, fellowship, and encouragement. Contact the church office or visit the Fellowship page for a current listing of available groups.
Prayer Teams
Prayer can become the engine that drives our church. Whether
it is during our Sunday morning worship, Wednesday nights, or
a community prayer group, if you would like to join your hearts
and voices before the throne of God, please contact Dianne
Lunt .
Chapel Choir
Adults and high school students interested in worship development
are invited to sing with this group. Rehearsals are held every
Wednesday evening from 8:00 to 9:00 from October through May.
Visit Worship Arts for
more information.
Titus Team
If you desire to help in a ministry of encouragement, then you might want to consider joining this team. From providing lunches for a special service project to helping others who have urgent needs, be sure to contact Karen Henderson for more information about the Titus Team.
Welcome Team
Many people visit a growing church. Whether they come as the result of a personal invitation or an online visit, we want our guests to feel at home and to come again. If you desire to help in this ministry of hospitality, please contact Sally Chittenden or the church office for details.
Fellowship Teams
These five teams of people coordinate the fellowship time and
light breakfast between our Sunday morning services. If you
can help plan, decorate, and serve during this time, please
contact the church office.
XYZ Fellowship
Usually meeting on the fourth Friday of each month, this group
of "seasoned" adults 50+ and friends meet for various activities
that promote their Xtra Years of Zest. Please contact Joe
Hawkey for more information.
Community Events
From time to time you will hear about a community event sponsored by Nortonville Chapel. Whether it's Big Buck Night, the Community Hog Roast, or a concert, these special events help build relational bridges in our neighborhoods and provide an entry point to our church and Christianity.
